About Birds On A Wire Birds on a Wire located at 2901 Devine Street and 1320 Main Street was founded in the summer of 1994 by Daniel Rickenmann. Since then it has become an icon on Devine Street and its new location on Main Street. Folks come from throughout Columbia and surrounding areas to sample this healthy style of chicken.
In February 2008, "Birds" as its' affectionately called by its regulars was purchased by Bryan Singleton & Cameron W. Jordan Jr., two experienced restaurateurs with about 45 years combined experience.
Cameron W. Jordan Jr. Mr. Jordan a native of Barbados attended the French Culinary Institute of New York and has been a chef, managing and working in the industry for nearly 25 years. Mr. Jordan served as a Senior Operating Partner with Ryan's Family Steakhouses, Inc. Mr. Jordan has an Advanced Business Program Certification from New York University.
Bryan Singleton Mr. Singleton a native of Cheraw, SC, and has extensive experience in the food service industry and was a Senior Operating Partner with Ryan's Family Steakhouses, Inc., for almost 20 years. Mr. Singleton served in the United States Navy and earned a Bachelors Of Science in Business Administration from South Carolina State University.
Message From The Owners It is an honor to have the opportunity to be a part of this venture. We intend to keep the team members and the customer loyalty at the forefront of all our growth decisions. As one customer said when she found out we were the new owners. Do not change a thing -"if its not broke don't fix it." We intend to keep listening to their good advice.
